Beginning as a one-man operation in the Rogue Isles in the 1980's, the basis of Arachnos Mutagenics grounded itself in providing low-cost and direct-to-consumer comestables designed to facilitate recreational activities, all prepared in an humble home laboratory. Sadly, the marketplace competition was fierce in these early years, and more than once the operation seemed on the brink of closure. It must have been luck on the day one of the corporation's rivals decided to move its operations, shortly after the untimely death of its CEO.

Once contracting opportunities opened up, and enough capital was accrued, the operation expanded into warehousing and delivery in addition to production. The one-man operation grew into Applied Mutagenics, a purveyor of injectable enhancements to standard biological architecture. The results of its patents and laboratory work grace many a counter and shelf in Paragon City. Around the time production values were peaking, a strategic buyout was engineered, and with the acquiescence of the founder, Applied Mutagenics was renamed Arachnos Mutagenics.

An informal alliance with various freelance operatives enables AM to procure, refine, and provide to the consumer the highest grade material. This results in our award winning operations and success stories, such as our classic original Hirsuteserum anti-baldness formula that formed the prototype to the Council Warwolf line. Our recent re-acquisition of some of this trademarked material enables us to offer to the consumer deep discounts on currently public designs, but with the original quality control.

Our clients depend upon us for reliable, repeatable performance. And we provide it: through keeping our operations local and high levels of quality control, we make sure that the genetics you alter are semi-predictable in their outcomes at least 70% of the time. None of the rival companies even come close. We understand industry terms like "kill ratios" and "projected collateral effect" and know the consequences of failing to meet expectations. We take pride in being blamed for fewer failures than most companies; and it's not entirely due to our favored position in Arachnos.

Arachnos Mutagenics is divided into three functional areas: Experimental Products Division, Deployed Products Division, and Marketing.

Our Experimental Products Division is responsible for such things as our Biogenetic Minion Project, our expansion into low-cost consumables, and Comprehensive Body Modification to compete with other costume purveyors who can only change your outside.

Our Deployed Products Division consists of a Satisfaction department (Let's all welcome our new Department Manager, Phil Stein, who replaces our former Manager, who is currently awaiting execution on charges of sedition) which tracks current acceptance and market penetration of our mature products, and our Contracting Department, which handles the bulk orders, new customers, and recurring and seasonal needs.

Marketing is responsible for developing the route to market for the Experimental Products Division projects that have aged enough to merit creating customer demand. Marketing also handles initial negotiations in a piecemeal consulting fashion for custom products.
